Ph 403 Modern Philosophy (3)
This course examines the new movements that arose in the Modern and Enlightenment eras (1400-1900 A.D.) and the response of nineteenth-century philosophers. It includes coverage of seminal figures in the empirical, idealist, deist, positivist, romantic, spiritualist, and utilitarian traditions, and key Catholic thinkers of the nineteenth century.
Prerequisites: Ph 401 and Ph 402.
