Introduction to Liturgical Music (Lt 508)

Lt 508 - Introduction to Liturgical Music     1 credit

Because “sacred song united to the words . . . forms a necessary or integral part of the solemn liturgy” (Sacrosanctum Concilium, 112), this course explores the theology, principles, and practice of music in worship. Students consider the integration of music planning into liturgical planning, and they learn the rudiments of singing and sight-reading.
