Ph 401 Ancient Philosophy (3) This course surveys philosophy as it developed in ancient Greece and became influential in the Patristic period (600 B.C.-800 A.D.). It treats the thought of Plato and Aristotle, examines other key movements such as Stoicism and Neo-Platonism, and discusses the appropriation of philosophy by early Christian authors such as Augustine.
