Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults The Christian Initiation of Adults will be studied using the introduction, rituals and prayer of the RCIA as the basic text. The course will consist of an analysis of the rites within the context of the personal journey to conversion. The influence of the RCIA on the local faith community and its impact on the larger Church will be considered. Observation of the Christian Initiation process in selected parishes with classroom reflection will help students to apply the course material to pastoral practice. Prerequisite: Lt 504.
